For the first, I don't know, 60% of this book I was fully prepared to give this a solid 1-2 rating.
Its a little on the problematic side, the characters are more or less unbearable, and I found the vast majority of the book to be super cringe-y.
But sometime around the 60% mark, I found myself inexplicably hooked on this book. I couldn't stop listening and I ended up finishing the rest of the book in a single afternoon.
Now should I bump a book up because it was surprisingly addicting? I don't know. It doesn't erase all the wrinkles I developed from scrunching my face up after hearing something completely distasteful. So I'm going to bump it up a half point, but mark it a 3 and call it a day.
