I really enjoyed this book but I was pretty frustrated with the MMC for the majority of the story. His stubbornness was annoying af. The FMC, Alice, is doing her best to become her best self at the lake for the summer and he’s just feeding her insecurities because he’s a coward. All that said, I liked the story, the romance, the spice, and the banter. It made me laugh and cry in equal measure. Finally, Nan is an absolute treasure.
