This was a cute, quick read that I enjoyed more than I expected! It’s easy to root for main character Bea, and reading about her leaning toward the wrong guy a few times felt just like yelling at my TV when the Bachelorette is falling for the resident villain. The ending hit all the right notes.
My big complaint - the start of the book describes Bea as a fashionable, confident, plus-size woman, secure in her own skin. But what follows is page after page of Bea feeling self-conscious about her weight and doubting herself. I know it was maybe a necessary part of the plot to have her in this mindset, but I’d have loved to see her keep that confidence and navigate the show. Please give us a cute, fun romance where the main character just happens to be a fat woman and let her live!
