If you have mommy issues DONT READ!! Or maybe do so you can see that sometimes things get better and the relationship can mend over time (or in the face of terrible news). Michelle was incredibly raw in her reflections of her childhood memories, teenage angst, and emotions. It was a quick read towards the end as the story was concluding. I loved that it showed how even in real stories there can be happy endings.
