I really enjoyed the second in the A League of Extraordinary Women series! Even more than the first, I think.⁣

Lucie is the leader of a suffragist group and, unlike some of her fellow suffragists has no interest in any kind of partnership with a man. She works to gain control of a publishing house...only to find out that she shares that control with Lord Ballentine, a childhood acquaintance she does not have fond memories of.⁣

It's a love story - so you can see where this is going. I like that the conflict in the relationship is not because either party treats the other badly, and also that nothing was resolved simply, but that both partners shifted their views, slowly over time as their circumstances changed & as they got to know one another.
