I’m a simple person. I see a Tessa Bailey book available to me. I try it out.

Crashed Out was definitely… out of my comfort zone. I don’t really like the idea of age gap romances, especially between a former babysitter and the kid she used to watch. But when you can get a book through your local library, you might as well borrow it.

Objectively speaking, this was not the best book in the world. It feels awkward and weird, even outside of the babysitting problem I already spoke about. There’s too much sex, exceeding the limit of how much I can read before I get tired of it. It’s a bit forgettable as well, and I knew I was going to be forgetting aspects of it the second I turned that final page.

But I enjoyed it while I was reading it. Not enough to love it, but enough to stick with it. To keep turning the pages and see more of Jasmine and Sarge’s story.

Crashed Out is a low four star, almost to the point where it’s a three star. Not something I recommend, but at the very least, something I enjoyed reading.
