I didn't do much looking into what this book was when I saw it was a Chirp deal. I saw hockey romance and thought this was one of my favorite genres, sold.

Reid is a hotshot professional hockey player, living the life that comes along with it. He's got puck bunnies at his disposal, all the cash he could ever want and a single, very fulfilling life for a man in his late 20s. He's never settled down and has no desire to do so until he's saddled with the call that will change his life forever. His half sister has unexpectedly passed away and she leaves a three year old son, Evan, behind. Reid is the next of kin. The ONLY next of kin. He's got to decide whether or not to take Evan in and completely change his life or leave the poor boy to the foster system. He decides he can do it, he can be Evan's guardian, but not without some support. Unexpectedly, Reid comes to depend on his sister's best friend, Holland, to help him with Evan. Holland has been close to him his whole life. She grew up next door and he never thought anything of her. Until now. Now he can't shake his feelings for Holland, but is he ready for an actual relationship?

This was cute and a super fast read. It was pretty predictable, but who doesn't love a happily ever after?
