A Ira dos Anjos by Sidney Sheldon
4.0

Rage of Angels was like watching the most high-stakes TV show soap you have ever seen with absolutely no reservations as to where the story can and cannot go. Anything you think is untouchable plot-wise, Sheldon delivers it in jaw-dropping fashion.

My criticisms of this book are few but enough to make this a weak 4 stars. The morality of the main characters are incredibly questionable so I found myself not caring for them personally, only wishing more and more drama to happen to them, for pure sadistic enjoyment. However, some may be able to connect with the characters more readily than I was able to. Furthermore, the pacing was a bit inconsistent, but I think this is due to just how fast you can fly through the book at certain points because SO much is happening, so less fast points of the book feel slow. Finally, the ending is a bit lacklustre in my opinion, for such a dramatic, high-stakes, no-prisoners type of book, the ending felt dropped. Like Sheldon just wanted to finish it, I could have used another 50 pages to develop a proper ending in my mind.

Regardless, Rage of Angels is a crazy, fun ride that will have you cheekily grinning at just how outrageous plot points can become. If you want bang-for-your-buck, pick this up because I have never read a book that packs SO MUCH in 10 pages than Sidney Sheldon's Rage of Angels; it was a blast!
