Based on the 1980’s, NASA finally allows women to join the ranks of aspiring astronauts.
I loved the way the book started with the conflict and the dual timelines was a fun and engaging way to keep the reader excited to find out what happens to the spacecraft (and if Vanessa makes it home). I loved reading about the sweet relationship between Joan and her niece, Francis, as well as the budding relationship between Joan and Vanessa, despite how NASA viewed queer people in the ‘80’s.
I will gladly read this book over and over.
