Heroes Are My Weakness by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

5.0

I used to adore reading Susan Elizabeth Phillip’s novels as a 16 year old and 10 years later this still stands to be the case. Phillips writes effortlessly and her characters always have unique traits that make you remember them years later (Bam Bam and Tater from Kiss An Angel still live on in my heart). Here, the protagonist was a ventriloquist and her skill set was actually rather useful and fun. What makes Phillips writing stand out is the fact that she’s able to add humor to her stories in original and glib ways that others just haven’t been able to do. I’d recommend this book in a heartbeat.
