I am very pleased with how this book turned out. Ms. Rook is the same as ever; empowering, witty and intelligent. Jackaby continues to be a mystery from us all and the case is ever so complex as before. It appears that both Abigail and Jackaby are facing a new threat after this book. I am a bit confused about the different characters and how they relate to the story but this book was very enjoyable for me to read.
