I really enjoyed this book. It took me a while to really get the depths of these characters. I think I would not have rated it as high if I didn't finish it - but everybody's growth in the story is really good. Things that seem trope-ish are not and potentially irritating characters have a lot of heart.
Also, it was a pretty decent who done it situation with a satisfying answer.
