This was an audiobook that i listened to mainly on the drive to California. I never had to read it in high school so i thought better late than never. I really enjoyed the first half of this book because I thought the work that he was building was so cool and gloomy and helpless and props for being one of the first big dystopian novels. But about when Winston has to read the book to join the resistance is when I completely checked out. Those long chapters were so boring it completely sucked the magic of the rest of the book right out of me. Also the love story is strange and weird and creepy. I was expecting to enjoy reading this book more but honestly just not a big fan.
