after A Love Song for Ricki Wilde put me to sleep like someone holding a rag soaked in chloroform over my face, i was kinda hesitant to try another book by this author. however, i thoroughly enjoyed this one. i almost ruined the experience for myself, though, because i kept waiting for things to fall apart for the main characters once i was like 50% in. i had to make myself just enjoy where i was in the book + stop anticipating what i thought was gonna be a terrible turn of events. i smiled so much reading this book. it was super sweet + romantic, while also being pretty realistic + relatable.
