Rebels & Rejects
by R.A. Smyth
- ok so i will preface by saying i dislike gang trope stories as a precedent, so this one had a few points knocked off as that was a huge premise of it
- but the FMC was a huge badass which i really appreciated
- she was a stripper but there was no shame there and she didn’t let anyone make her feel that way and i LOVED THAT like i am so tired of people shaming others who are just trying to get by in the ways they are able
- and is it at all realistic that she is a vigilante assassin? nope! did i think it was cool though? yep!
- i really liked Oliver, he really let her be her authentic self and accepted her for that and it made me happy
- Cain was a bit of a bastard at times and sorry but trauma doesn’t excuse being a massive dick and shaming your crush because you’re jealous that she gets with others
- and Enzo wow we didn’t get much of him but he is hot and a promising character for the next book damn
- and i love a girl who can fight, dance seductively, and stand up to asshole men all in the same hour
- i was very curious about how the next book would incorporate 2 more MMCs as love interests when this whole book was spent establishing the first 2
