Unteachable by Elliot Wake

Reading this book was a true free fall. All the feels. Every single feeling and emotion. I was overwhelmed. It was exhilarating. I loved this so much. And I hated how it ended. I wanted so much more. These characters had so much more to give. I had this battle on the inside. I wanted this book to go on, but yet I liked dealing with the unknown. I had a million thoughts when it came to them. Ughhhhh.

"I can't hold on to you. You're like that shooting star. Just a trail of fire in my hands."

Did I love Maise? Maybe.
Did I hate Maide? Maybe.
She had her moments. She was a frustrating character. She is cynical and she is lost. She is just a kid after all, but with an old soul. She was larger than life. She took over your senses and overwhelmed you. I felt her vibe through the pages. She was wild. She couldn't be tamed. She didn't want to be tamed. She just wanted to be loved. I wanted to delve more into her mind. She is one of the most interesting characters I have ever read about and I loved that. The author created one hell of a complicated character yet so simple.

This is what being in love feels like, Wesley. Gratitude. Gratitude that you exist in this f**ked up, beautiful universe.

I didn't trust Evan. He felt wrong all over. He felt off. Through out the book I just couldn't stomach him. Up until the book ended and still I don't what to make of him. But he didn't feel that comfortable. I didn't love him and I thought Maise deserved more. I wanted her to open up her heart and feel it all, I felt that Evan just gave her the first push which she really did need it.

Loved Wesley a lot. He interesting. I need a book dealing with him. He felt exciting and with these thoughts that needed to be expelled so badly. I loved how his relation with Maise developed.

Do I imagine Evan and Maise on the long run? Not at all. They didn't click.

Still, I loved the book more than anything. I enjoyed it so much. The words were written perfectly. I felt like reading a poem. It was beautiful and classy yet wild and everywhere. It was a beautiful mess. This author knows the way with words. I loved all the descriptions. They were on point. I want to read more.

The world is new when I’m with you.” I took his hands in mine. “And I’ve seen you, I’ve seen how you light up when you’re with me. It’s the same for you. We’re both kids with each other, and this world is made just for us. So that can’t be your reason for saying no.”

Meant to be or not. Maise and Evan crossed paths. Is it falling in love or a free fall? I guess it makes no difference. But they are hopeless case. They never learn. Both are unteachable.
