The Best Man: Unfinished Business by Malcolm D. Lee

4.0

I’ve been looking forward to this book since the announcement. As a longtime fan of both The Best Man movies and the miniseries, I was excited when I heard it would pick up where the miniseries left off.

The whole crew is back, full of their usual shenanigans. From the very first chapter, it felt like catching up with old friends. Reading it was like rewatching the movies and series in the best kind of nostalgic way.

The love triangle between Harper, Robyn, and Jordan is still going strong, and the book offers multiple POVs to dive even deeper into their dynamic. And honestly? Harper is still very much Harper. I don’t think he’ll ever shake his selfish ways. He’s always looking for someone to play “comforter or counselor” while he continues offering the bare minimum in return.

That said, the book ends on a pretty predictable cliffhanger. And since it’s the first in a trilogy, the business is definitely unfinished. 👀
