I really enjoyed the premise of this story and I found Crier to be a well developed fascinating character who slowly starts to question her own humanity, her developing feelings towards Ayla and the brutality & unjust world is apart. I appreciated that this was a slow burn romance and the feelings towards our two main characters happening very organically.
I did find that Ayla was less developed and came across a bit one dimensional and did grate on my nerves at the start of the story.
I also found that that world building and plot of the story to be a bit clunky and could have been executed better however I am definitely still intrigued enough to continue on with this dulolgy.
