Every Day by David Levithan

I'm mixed on this story.
There were so many parts that I loved, and I think this book really needed a sequel, not a companion. But there were tons of issues and unfinished loose ends that irked me.
The idea itself is intriguing, the idea of A entering different bodies. But at the same time, it is uncomfortable, that he is controlling them for a day, where he could easily mess up their lives. The romance felt very insta-love, but I liked Rhiannon's acceptance, even when we totally understand how weird and awkward the situation is.It had me engaged, definitely. But at the same time, A can be a boy or girl, so I know Rhiannon had to get used to it, as well as that A was a jerk at times. But I also felt bad for him, as A can never have a normal relationship, nor friends nor family, all because of what A is. I wish we did know what A really is, and whether or not A can stay in the same body to be with Rhiannon or if A is stuck this way. Loose ends. But overall, if loose ends or a slightly irritating protagonist doesn't bother you, go ahead.
But the novel teaches about cherishing the days, getting over appearances, and trying to love even when it seems impossible.
