Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold by Ellen O'Connell

I saw a review for this book on my Goodreads feed which kind of made me want to read it so I just spontaneously bought it and I was not disappointed.

This was so good, I was hooked from the start!
Normally, I’m not into this kind of 19th century historical western romance at all. But it really worked for me here.

This books jumps right into the action with a brutal scene and then keeps the action going. It was 418 pages and I flew through it.

The main characters were great, I loved both Anne and Cord. Anne was such a strong, brave character and Cord was so soft for her and only her, I loved it.

What really frustrated me about it, though, was Cord‘s family, especially his brothers. It made me so mad that they thought him capable of all these horrible things and never even tried to talk to him about it first, always jumping to their own conclusions, even at the end. It also didn’t make sense to me anymore by the end.
