I put off reading this book for such a long time because first person present tense is my least favorite combo, but I've been re-watching Buffy so it felt like perfect timing. It's a nice little homage to the source material (but missing the humor and didn't quite earn an emotional connection between the reader and the relationships between characters I felt), and very readable, but not something I'm excited to read more of.
