i have photo evidence of me bawling my eyes out at the end. incredible. miss sally rooney knocked it out of the park with this one!!
an incredible exploration of the severe complexity of being a sibling, a parent, a lover, and a human in this world.
i’ve been feeling a bit like shit lately, and this book has helped me move forward with sure feet, even if i don’t know where they are taking me.
be warned, it is terribly sad and at times frustrating. sylvia was an incredible character, but she also drove me crazy!! ivan too, at times. yet, their actions are part of the human condition!! .
but more than that, Intermezzo is terribly moving.
