Knife: Meditations After an Attempted Murder
by Salman Rushdie
hopeful
reflective
medium-paced
At times wonderful and at times unbearable, "Knife" is Salman Rushdie's personal account of the murder attempt on his life and his way of processing the incidents that changed his life completely.
I loved the chapter where he talked about how he met Eliza and it was definitely a "meet cute" moment. It's sometimes hard to imagine that by the time they met they were already in their seventies because even in other chapter, he sounds like a giddy teenager in love when he talks about Eliza.
The stories about the attack on him and the recovery was painful to read and almost unbearable as he tries to make sense of what had happened to him.
