I am a little disappointed in this. This is my guilty pleasure series (and believe me I feel very guilty about it). I want to be clear that I still really like the characters and the story but it has been going downhill for me. It has been at least 6 months if not more since I read the last book in the series or sister series. Like everyone else has said, there is barely any new information and while it was cool seeing Cas's perspective, it was not worth a retelling to that extent. I will be honest and say I needed some recap to catch me back up but that was not what this was. If you asked me what happened after Cas's storytelling session to get us to Poppy's stasis, I couldn't tell you. I think this could've been a novella not a full book in the series. I do not know if I will continue this series after this one.
EDIT: Upon further reflection, I should've known this would be nothing new. I read the Lux series and all of Daemon's novellas added no new information.
