The Secrets Between Us by Jennifer Ann

5.0

Our author is very smart. She catches our attention by starting with something that will hook our hearts. How can something that is seemingly so sad turn around and end up happy? That's why you have to listen to see how Jennifer Ann weaves her story. It's emotional and you need just the right person, or persons, to get that across.

One, actually two people made this author's story come to life. Ms. Stevens and Mr. Duran did a great job in getting me to forget the world around me as I listened to them become Cameron Quinn and Lincoln Farrington. I had no trouble picturing everything our characters were going through. Part of that is because our author wrote her story in the first person. She creates characters that are very relatable and our narrators help with that. One good thing about listening to this story is that it left me looking forward to getting to know more of the author's work as well as scoping out more work done by our narrators.

I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.
