This book surprised me. I enjoyed the world/lore and really loved the author's writing style. The author did a great job of describing things and telling us enough to really visualize each scene. Something that confused me was that before reading, I say the Wrath/Brie fandom so I assumed there would be a lot more romance than there was. This was definitely a slow burn book, which doesn't affect my rating, but I was mislead to believe this book was something it isn't.
