Short, sweet, and steamy, "All Bats are Off" by Kelly Reynolds is just enough of a story to satiate fans of the Rose City Roasters series until the next full-length installment. I loved Tucker and Brock! They have terrific chemistry with one another. They are SO funny and flirty together, and their banter is top-notch. I laughed and swooned more than once while reading this, especially at the end. I like how, even though this is a novella, readers get the sense that Tucker and Brock are meant to be more together. I have read several full-length books with half the chemistry between the main characters. I would rather have a shorter story full of connection than a 400+ page novel devoid of chemistry. Their one-night stand quickly turns into something more, which they didn't expect. Reynolds does a fantastic job balancing the spice and the bond between them! I love her writing so much, and this is no exception. I can't wait until the next installment in the series!
