I definitely think the writing got better in this installment, even if only marginally. But wow, I think I was d*ckmatized because I ate this one up, too!
But, whew, the smut was HOT! Alex and Kai had some serious chemistry and it was tangible. And there was A LOT. It was so great.
I’m not a fan of how, like, clinical and professional Willow Dixon is when it comes to talking about mental health or sexuality or whatever. It’s obviously good that they’re talking about these issues and getting awareness out there but it just seems TOO intentional and comes off as inauthentic tbh. It just feels like they’re out here like screaming, “I’M AN ALLY!!!!!!!”
Also!!! I think this is a great way to do enemies to lovers without the MCs being, like, actually mean and toxic to each other. Big fan!
Either way, I’m really enjoying this series. It’s fun and sexy!
