This duology was heartfelt, melodic and twisty! With a great cast of characters, all of whom are ambitious as hell, this was a page turner to the say the least.
I loved that Sue Lyn Tan really explores love in different forms in this; motherly love, friend love, first loves. Xingyin feels everything so strongly, most of all the love she has for the people around her. The descriptions of the different Immortal Kingdoms were beautiful — you feel as if you’re right there with the characters.
Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a melodically written, and magical, story.
