Hidden Scars by Andi Jaxon
5.0

Scars. Physical and Emotional scars was a major theme of this book. It was a complex story that touched on many hard topics. Check your trigger warnings if you think you might need it. Hidden Scars follows Preston and Jeremy, two college hockey players from different worlds. Preston transfers colleges and is now playing alongside Jeremy and is his new roommate. Because of Preston’s history with his father he stays closed off and guarded from everyone. The way that Jeremy is able to break down those walls and get close to Preston is so very special and the beginning of the most beautiful love story. Their love story is full of pain and healing and it is oh so spicy!

This was my first read by the author and I was very impressed with her writing and her storytelling. This went from a bully/ enemies to lovers situation to this amazing friends to lovers story. The character growth was so perfect. Even though Preston had the most growing to do, you also saw it within Jeremy and the way he put himself out there to help Preston. There is so much to this story but I think it is best for it all to be a surprise. I do know I am PRAYING we get a story for their friends!
