Toadstones by Eric Williams, Eric Williams
5.0

Remarkable.

Whether it's hunting endangered gods in Wyoming, smuggling cursed relics from Spain to the New World, riding a haunted bus for a podcast, or accidentally discovering the name of God during a backyard game of telephone, reading this book of weird tales feels like discovering a lost classic from the golden age of pulp, except everything is brand new, the pace faster, the wit sharper. Can't recommend this one highly enough.

Update: I interviewed the author about this book over at Heavy Feather Review.
