Valerie, a 42-year-old nurse, takes on the Appalachian Trail as a way to cope with trauma from the COVID-19 pandemic, meeting up with her husband at several stops along the way. However, when she doesn't show up for a check in, a multi-day search commences to try to find you. Intertwined with Valerie's journal is the story of the ranger trying to find her and that of an elderly woman who finds herself in the middle of the ordeal.
Heartfelt, suspenseful and well-paced.
