This is a charming story of love and acceptance with a mythical twist!

The artwork is stunning—I could get lost in its magical illustrations for ages. The two main characters navigate a minefield of sinister magical powers and stereotypes and learning to love themselves.

Beetle is very relatable in her self-doubts, but she perseveres and learns to trust those around her. She also discovers how to stand up for those who need help.
