Diary of an Oxygen Thief
by Anonymous
This book was so easy to read, purely because I was addicted to the main character; the narcissism & chaos was like a car crash I couldn’t look away from.
This is a diary of someone with alcohol addiction, who deliberately seeks out vulnerable women to emotionally destroy them for his own pleasure, as a way of getting even with the pain he has suffered.
I loved it. The raw, honest account of hurt, addiction and trauma that this person conveys. The awareness that he has, not only for his own behaviours, but also how they so clearly affect others, down the most intricate details is astounding, to the point of sociopathy.
“They say the sea is actually black and that it merely reflects the blue sky above. So it was with me. I allowed you to admire yourself in my eyes. I provided a service. I listened and listened and listened. You stored yourself in me.”
