How can so much be learned about life, through a letter from a man to his toxic partner of the past? How is this book not recognized as a cannon in psychology for getting over the cringe one has towards things/events and letting the reader understand that refusing to see those memories as pieces of our own is what keeps them inconvenient? And after all he has been through, the awakening Oscar has experienced is exhilarating, as the tone of his writing switches from ironic and satirical to compassionate and soft. What a wonderful specimen of a human being...
