ホリミヤ 01 [Horimiya, Vol. 01]
by HERO
Things I liked:
1. The relatable story: who hasn't felt like they lead two lives? One in the public sphere where you put up a facade that you think people will like and accept and another in your private sphere. I think this has been done really well in Horimiya. The characters are allowed to continue leading their double lives, which becomes problematic at times. I appreciate that the author has decided against making the characters "reveal their true selves", that can easily become very cheesy.
2. The style: Nuf said.
3. The comedy: Aaaaaahhhh, I had so much fun reading this. The characters are perfectly awkward (not too much, not too little) and there are plenty of funny moments.
