A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
3.0

If you like Disney’s Beauty and the Beast but wish it was two thirds an extended narration of the “Something There” scene of folks basically just having a lovely time in a magic castle despite a vague mystery threat, and then one third an intense psychological-torture-prison Hunger-Games-version of the tale of Tam Lin, all featuring some unsubtle themes of jealousy and bodily non-autonomy that I think are supposed to be sexy but which I personally found deeply uncomfortable, you will probably enjoy this. Lots of people seem to, so I guess I’m missing something…? It was readable, but I think I’ll skip the sequels.
