Snow by Orhan Pamuk

3.0

There are some great details and it's a pretty good story. Despite chaos, poverty or just a city's reality, the main character sees things based on how he feels inside. There are also big questions - that religion cannot be felt if you are in Europe, that this world of the West is more an illusion, that the West is focused on details in a small Turkish city like Kars at all...the authors is somewhat humorous, and does focus on the beauty and simplicity of snow and love above all, but also shows the possible risk in not seeing the other things around us.
