A Heart of Klondike Gold by E. Davies

5.0

Great story with a very specific historic setting. There was so much depth to this story in the setting of the scene as Edwin arrives and the description of the city and the claims. I feel like I was there, in the cold and the mud and the heat.
I know nothing about mining for gold, and neither did Edwin, but I felt I learned alongside him.
I loved the interactions and the depth of the characters. I really felt for Edwin when he was left all alone to work the mine and really worried for him that things would go wrong.
I really cared what would happen and was grateful alongside him when his knight in shining armour turned out to be the real gold.
I Loved this story from beginning to end and it had lovely smooth flow to it with a real feel for the time in which it was set.
