More often it seems that we forget about some of the children involved in the Holocaust. We know that there were many victims but until Boyne's novel, I had not thought of the possibility of a child on the other side of the fence, like Bruno. Though a well-written reminder of the horrible events that happened, this novel got me thinking about another perspective and really, what more could I ask of a piece of literature than to make me think about that I otherwise wouldn't have. A definite must-read!
