A good way to summarize this book and our perception on health would be :"We only care about our well-being once it's too late"
A very nice idea and an enjoyable experience to read a book about medicine written by a non-doctor, it gives an interesting and innovative point of view, especially since the author relies mostly on his knowledge of technological innovations to support his claims.
Nevertheless, I remain sceptical about ideas such as GERM and its potential success, such a big manoeuvre is hard to implement and estimate, let's hope we won't need another pandemic to have to confirm this.
