i’m genuinely so impressed by Pamela. i’m not sure what i expected going into this memoir, but it was such an honest and raw account of her life. she’s viciously honest about her life, not shying away from her impulsivity in her younger years but never expressing regret for being her.
there’s so many parts of Pamela i never knew about- she’s a fierce animal rights activist, an art lover, an avid gardener, and a someone who loves being a mom. and it’s a shame that the media doesn’t talk about these things more. there’s a lot of juicy topics that she discusses, but these were the parts i was truly struck by.
she doesn’t shy away from the more unsavory topics, like her relationship with Tommy Lee. but despite all the details we learn, it’s definitely a secondary part of the book, and that’s a good thing.
this memoir felt like Pamela finally being able to reclaim her narrative and tell her story on her own terms. and i’m so happy we get to explore this part of her. it’s written really well, and i listened to the audio version so it felt all the more intimate.
