Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.

One of my least favorite tropes is the makeover trope. Nope, sorry no, didn’t we leave this behind in the early 2000’s? The fmc compared him to a homeless person to his face multiple times, but suddenly he shaves and he’s worthy of his billionaire title? F right off. Bianca also felt like a caricature of a New Orleans black woman, and idk if the book gets better after this, but I think it needed a sensitivity reader, and quite frankly after The Simple Wild I promised myself I would immediately dnf anything with the makeover trope moving forward because it does nothing but irritate me.
