A Kingdom of Bitter Magic by Alaya Wells

4.0

This story has it all. Just start checking your boxes, secret identity, revenge, action, dragons, magic, betrayal and one heck of of a cliffhanger. Tempest just wants to live out her live training the dragons and fighting off the creatures plaguing the lands. Romance is the last thing on her mind along with joining the claiming to become basically a slave for the fae. All this is true until a battle takes a turn for the worse and whispered words leading to the implication that these creatures have a master. Now she wants nothing to bring it all to the ground. Vexxion shows up with no sense of personal space and seeming to always be where she is. They must learn to trust and work together for the same out come but the cost of which are high and betrayal is major.
