The American Heiress by Daisy Goodwin

Really enjoyed the book, it was descriptive but not overdone and a charming glimpse into the life of late 19th century aristocracy. I have to admit, I pictured Cora's mother as the mother from Titanic the whole time haha. And I liked Cora's character arc, how much she changed while staying true to herself; I also found it interesting and enjoyable to get so many chapters from the perspective of her maid Bertha. A bit of an upstairs downstairs vibe. It was a bit slow at first, very meandering, but I sped through the second half! A perfect summer read.
