Silent in the Grave by Deanna Raybourn
4.0

Silent in the Grave is a quick who done it with a few twists and turns. Lady Julia meets Nicholas Brisbane over her husband's "twitching body." Brisbane was hired by her newly deceased husband to figure out who was sending him threatening notes.

Edward, not long for the earth anyway, has been murdered. Julia's eyes are opened to the people and situations around her while she searches with Brisbane to find out who sent the letters and if and who murdered Edward.

The story moved quickly and the plot is interesting but not over thought out. The secondary characters were humorous and involved adding to the story. The end was not predictable but still plausible and entertaining. A decent start to a series featuring Julia and Brisbane.

FYI: The series is considered a romantic suspense, it is written in the style of romance today, it is all implied with words, intense looks and a few kisses. It is more in the romantic styling of Austen than more modern writers.
