My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Vol. 2 by Hideyuki Furuhashi, Kōhei Horikoshi

adventurous funny lighthearted fast-paced

2.5

There were moments when this volume got me genuinely excited and amused, which is good enough to count as enjoyable in my book. The best parts are anything involving characters from the main series. The characters' personalities and dynamics are slowly starting to form, though they are still kind of hard to root for. And the entirely unnecessary, perverted jokes that keep reoccurring don't help at all. I mean, if a protagonist hesitates to attack villains whose sole purpose is to SA women because he opposes "kink shaming", I find it really hard to like him. That kind of humor just screams bad taste and misogyny.
