3.5 stars... the librarian in me was drawn to this book and I’m not sure how much that sustained it. I did like the picture of occupied Paris it drew, something I hadn’t explored much but I wonder if it can sustain the average reader enough. Initially, I wasn’t sure about the modern timeline.I’m still not sure it added much to the story.parts of this were really great. The setting was wonderful, the writing engaging but it dragged at points. I received and advance copy of this book in return for a review.
