What a fun installment in "The Secrets of the Isles," series. After reading the first book, I was intrigued to learn that its sequel would feature Beth, who I liked, and Sheridan, who I had found annoying.
I was curious to see if Sheridan would grow on me and if I would like the romance between him and Beth. I am glad to say they did!
Beth and Sheridan, at first, seem an unlikely couple, but they ended up having wonderful chemistry. Sheridan is actually quite funny and sweet, once you get to know him.
Besides all of that, one of the things I enjoyed the most about this book was the faith content. Characters confront their sin and realize how they need to grow in their relationship with God. I especially enjoyed the conversations about faith between Ainsley and Senara.
I'm excited to see how this series continues in the next installment!
