This was so fun! I honestly was kind of surprised when it ended. It kind of felt like the story was just beginning, which I suppose it is.

I really love Effie. I like the guys too, and I’m intrigued by the small glimpses of backstory we’ve gotten from them. But like… I really love Effie.

We’ve all read the naive heroine. But something about Effie makes so charming, and that is her self-awareness. She is constantly calling herself out for not knowing obvious answers to things, and it just made me laugh every time. At one point, she asks herself if the men are somehow able to communicate telepathically, and then chides herself saying, No. they have phones, Effie. I don’t know why but I just found that so funny and charming.

I’m excited to see how the plot will develop, as we did not get much plot in this first installment. It was mostly character building and setting the scene. Still, I flew through this and enjoyed it immensely.
